I didn't have this blog when Mr. Tennant left Doctor Who, so I couldn't write a nice goodbye letter to him.
I do now, and Mr. Smith is leaving Doctor Who and therefore, I shall write a goodbye letter to him.
Here it goes:
To Mr. Matt Smith:
You were my 3rd Doctor. You're not MY Doctor, but you were an excellent Doctor. The enthusiasm and the vibrancy you brought along with you showed so much onscreen and I truly enjoyed you as the Doctor. I am upset that you are leaving, but this is the third (technically 11th) change, and I've learnt to accept it.
Change is a part of the world of Doctor Who, and even though I have grown quite attached to you, and it'll be hard watching the next Doctor for the first few episodes, I will enjoy those episodes because I know you left the show happy, and willingly. And I also know how proud you were of playing the Doctor and that the next Doctor will do you equally as proud.
I never did truly enjoy much of the episodes that you were in and I don't blame you for that. I felt that despite the very confusing plot lines, you came through and shined as the Doctor.
I will enjoy the last few episodes that you will be in (the 50th Anniversary and the Christmas special) and I will be very upset when you leave but then I will smile because I have enjoyed you for 4 years, and I will enjoy watching you in future projects (like the movie you're doing right now with Mr. Ryan Sexy Gosling).
Thank you for a good 4 years.
Cheers.
