Ok I'm lying. I have been home. I've just been sooooo obsessed with Criminal Minds lately that I've been watching it non-stop these past few days that I really didn't feel like blogging...
I mean, why would I want to blog about me watching Criminal Minds?
Monday: Criminal Minds marathon!
Tuesday: Criminal Minds marathon!
Wednesday: Criminal Minds marathon!
Thursday: Criminal Minds marathon!
Friday: Criminal Minds marathon!
.... Ok I'm lying again, I don't know why I keep lying.
The title is half-true.
If I'm not at home having a CM marathon, I'm out. For a long time.
It is quite tiring, trying to have a social life. I don't hate it exactly, but I don't enjoy it as much as well... I blame the temptation that is the internet. I mean, people call being on the internet 'having a social life'. Imagine us 50 years from now. We don't even have to get out of bed (Which is sad, and explains the increasing obesity problems around the world right. 50 years from now, we'll probably just be huge ballooned creatures lying on beds using the internet).
So... I'll try to explain my social life before carrying on about my love-hate relationship with the internet.
Let's start with last Monday:
Met G because we wanted to watch movies. NOBODY TOLD US THAT STUDENT PRICES WERE NOT VALID ON THE EVE OF A PUBLIC HOLIDAY. WHO THE HELL SET THAT RULE? IT'S THE EVE, NOT THE ACTUAL HOLIDAY. NO ONE EVER DOES THE EVE, GOOD LORD. And so guess who didn't get their student prices?
What's more, we were watching 2 movies. TWO.
The total price of our movie tickets were about 40 bucks. Ass. We watched House at the End of the Street, which wasn't scary and I wouldn't recommend the movie to you, as much as I love Jennifer Lawrence and Max Theriot (who is really sexy in the movie by the way). We also watched Pitch Perfect, which I WOULD recommend the movie to you because as cliched as the storyline is, it was a thoroughly enjoyable movie with good music. The voices in the movie was really good, and the guys were ok (I wouldn't go as far as to say they were sexy, or handsome or anything) but they were good-looking. More charming, than the looks, which is fine by me.
*skipping the rest of the week because I don't remember what I did*
Last Friday:
Let's see... The 'O' levels for the pure science students ended so our class planned a BBQ at C's house. i had no idea how to get to her house so I went to school to meet up with (almost all of) the class. I was going to be late (I made congratulations goodies for some of my friends and I didn't want to miss them) so I decided to cab to school.
THIS IS THE TIME FOR THE EVER-SO-POPULAR 'THAT TIME WHERE A YOUNG FEMALE TEENAGER IS ALONE IN A TAXI WITH ONLY THE TAXI DRIVER AS THE OTHER HUMAN LIFE FORCE AROUND' (Yeah, I'm working on the title)
I'm translating everything from Chinese so if it's not as creepy and funny as it originally was, please note it is because it was definitely funnier and creepier in Chinese.
I enter the cab, and the cab driver seemed friendly. Ok, he was friendly, but a bit too loud.
He would try to strike a conversation with me, and I would respond and he would say a statement like 'So now that exams are over, all you can do is watch the telly (sorry, too much British television influence) or use the internet, am I right? [insert hysterical cackle here]'
Me: '[light laughter, you know those awkward ones you use when adults you're not close to try to strike up a conversation with you, yeah those kind] yeah, you're right.'
Cab driver: 'AM I RIGHT, OR AM I RIGHT. RIGHT?! RRRIIGGHHTT???????!!!!' (When I type in caps, it's cause he was screaming. Literally, loud screeching screaming.)
Me: 'Right, right! You're totally right!'
That happened about 5 times. With 5 different questions. Freaked the hell out of me.
The End
Anyway, back to the class BBQ, we started out okay, had fun, then it rained.
Thankfully, C thought of booking the function room as well as the BBQ pit in case of rain, so we brought all the food into the function room. At least the Lord allowed us to cook all of our food before allowing it to rain. Had fun, got really wet and got chased by a security guard cause we were swimming in our clothes (he didn't notice but he scolded us for making too much noise) and hid in a sauna for a bit. Then R's parents brought B and I back home.
Saturday:
My cousin's wedding so it was an insanely packed day.
Woke up in the morning to go to my uncle's house. We're Chinese so we have to follow the customs. Honestly didn't do much there but sit, eat, chat and watch the baby jump on the newlywed's bed. Then I went for J's farewell lunch (she's going to the States) at 313@Somerset, the restaurant was called Trattoria or something. It was like a mini 6A reunion party (ok, there was only 8 people there) and J kept ordering and ordering, and we were reeeaallly full. Then I went home to get ready for the wedding dinner. Did my own hair and makeup (was successful, thank goodness) and then went for the wedding, which was fun.
Sunday:
Church day! M is finally back with us, and after church we went to A's house to relax and change for a bit before we went to ECP but there was thunder and lightning and we were about to NOT go to ECP, but decided to in the end. BY THE WAY, A's house is so bloody isolated. We had to change trains twice, and STILL walk all the way in. I don't know how he can stand it. We went to ECP in the end, and I, J and V taught N how to cycle, which was tiring but I felt happy that she could learn how to ride in the end. Then we had dinner, and M and I went to meet R because she was there having dinner as well. We played with her little sister, who is so adorable!
Monday:
Quite sure I stayed at home, and watched Criminal Minds.
Tuesday:
Also quite sure it was a Criminal Minds marathon at home again.
Wednesday:
YJ came to my house. She was bored of her house or something, so she came. And we watched shows. Oh, and guess what?
If you guessed 'Criminal Minds marathon', then you are correct!
Thursday (today, well, yesterday, it's 1 in the morning on a Friday now):
Went to Orchard early to ombre my hair (it's now black and brown) and then met YJ to watch Rise of the Guardians because I had 2 free tickets to any movie and OHMYGAWD THE MOVIE WAS AWESOME.
I'm not even joking right now because even though it was an animation, it was really well done, even though (again) the cliched storyline. Dreamworks has been putting out really great movies lately. How to Train Your Dragon (I fell in love with the dragon and now want a pet dragon), Brave (I cried so bad at that one) and now Rise of the Guardians. It didn't make me cry, but I nearly did at several parts of the movie. And even though Jack Frost is a cartoon character, he was really handsome for a cartoon character. And I love Sandy the Sandman, he is way too adorable even though he doesn't speak. At all. And only appeared in the beginning and the ending of the movie (oops, spoiler).
So that's been my life lately, dear blog....
OH, and did I mention I want a pet micro-pig? THEY ARE THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER. Like, honestly, EVER.
LOOK AT THIS. TELL ME YOU'RE NOT IN LOVE.
Aaanndd finally, my love-hate relationship with the internet.... It's been a really long post, think I'll save that for another time.
I need sleep now.
GOOD NIGHT BLOG.
Also, I'm in love with this guy:
Yes, he is hugging a tree. You can't get more adorable than that. Well, unless you're a micro-pig.
Okay, I got a better picture of him. Tell me you're not entranced by his sexiness. He just oozes sexy. You feeling that sexy vibe? That's him. Ok, clearly I'm delirious.
I need sleep.
