Worship Night 15th Jan

Right. I'm back on track.
Side note: Don't you just absolutely adore this song? It's called Shine A Light by McFly feat. Taio Cruz.
I personally feel that this song would be perfectly without Taio Cruz but who am I to judge? It's still a wonderful song and I just love McFly so whatever.

Anyway, back on topic: Worship Night 15th January

I was just talking to YJ one night on Skype and I came up with an idea to just gather a few of my friends and have a worship/fellowship night.
I didn't want it to be a huge thing so I just gathered a few of my Christian friends (I didn't want to get the non-Christians yet cause, you know, we're just starting out) and decided to have a potluck dinner/worship session.

I got A, LC, RY, YN, YJ and D was supposed to come but she couldn't make it cause she was flying off to Australia the next day.
LC and A bought a whole chicken, which we named Ham (Picture's in my phone but I haven't transferred it yet. Damn.).
YJ made a salad (it was nice), YN made mashed potatoes ('made' is a word used in very loose context here. It was instant. I thought she remarkably made amazingly smooth mashed potatoes and when I found out, I was crushed.)
RY bought cupcakes from PV cupcakes which were awesomeee (:
and I (my maid) made bolognese spaghetti.

We had a really nice dinner. Talked, laughed and it was a great time of fellowship.

Then came worship.
I prepared the songs, and at first it started a little bit awkward. We prayed and I played the guitar but we eventually got down to it.
The whole purpose of worship night is just to have friends come over and worship, and thank the Lord for all He's done for us so I didn't want it to be too formal or anything so the way we did it was marvelous and chilled which was exactly the way I wanted it to be.
In between songs, we started to share about what we thanked the Lord for. It was 2013, so we had a lot to thank for in 2012 since it was such an eventful year for all of us (Biggest major event was probably the 'O' levels) and I personally loved that night.
We let everything go, and just gave ourselves to the Lord which was amazing and it felt so great to talk to my friends and be together with them sharing in this amazing journey.
I'm so thankful for these amazing gals who are willing to come spend a night with me worshipping even though they could well be doing other things but instead they chose to come.
We intend to make this a monthly thing so let's cross our fingers that our schedules work out.
